5th Graduation day report of RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital held on 25th April, 2015 at ACS Convention center.
It is up to the young graduates to Ensure that health care services reach out to the poor in the rural areas – call by the Vice chancellor.
In his speech as the Chief guest of 5th Graduation day at RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital held on 25th April, 2015 at the huge ACS Convention center, the Hon’ble vice chancellor, Dr. Ravindranath called on the young graduates to serve at least for some time in the rural areas. Stressing the need to look beyond the urban areas, he Asked the doctors to be more service oriented. Praising the management for the best of the infrastructure and the facilities provided in the college, he applauded the efforts by the faculties and the students for their stupendous achievement. Congratulating the students, he asked them to gain more clinical knowledge before embarking on a professional journey.
This year RajaRajeswari medical College and Hospital has managed an unprecedented accomplishment where their more than 10 students have bagged top ranks in the University examinations both in UG and PG. RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, one of the premier medical institutions in India, celebrated its 5th Graduation Day on 25th of April, Saturday 2015 amidst much fanfare. Sri. A.C. Shanmugam, Chairman RajaRajeswari Group Of Institutions presided over the function. Padmasri Prof. R.M. Vasagam, Medical Director Dr. Ramachandra, Dean Dr. Shivakumar Veeraiah, Medical Superintendent Dr. Govindaraju, Vice Dean Dr. Naveen were also present. The students along with their parents and relatives came in great numbers and enthusiasm.
The area was brimming with anticipation and happiness. The college wore a festive look.
While introducing the chief guest, Vice Dean Prof. Naveen said, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi university of Health Sciences, Dr. Ravidranath who was the chief guest on the occasion requires no further introduction. An eminent cardiologist and recipient of various prestigious National and International awards, he since assuming the office of Vice Chancellor of RGUHS has brought in lot of reforms. Welcoming the chief guest on the occasion, the Dean, Dr. Shivakumar Veeraiah, highlighted the efforts put in by the vice chancellor in bringing in the changes in the systems and the processes. In his presidential address, the chairman called upon the graduates to have service orientation and work towards improving the health care fabric of India by providing health care services to under privileged. The Chairman also shared his vision for the institution that is to make RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, a one stop health care destination. Prof. Basavaraj Bhandary, Vice principal proposed vote of thanks.
Dr. Shanmuga Priya was adjudged the best Out Going Student.
