Graduation Day at RRMCH

RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, one of the premier medical institutions in India, celebrated its 4th Graduation Day on 5th of July Saturday 2014. The 2008-09 batch of students gathered at the venue which was the college auditorium at 7 AM itself along with their parents and relatives. The area was humming with enthusiasm, anticipation and happiness. The college wore a festive look.
Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Program Director, IRS & SSS, Indian Space Research Organisation, the man behind India’s lunar mission Chandrayaan – 1 and the recipient of various awards including Rajyotsava award by the Govt. of Karnataka was the chief guest on the occasion.the chief guest was welcomed by the Chairman, Sri. A.C. Shanmugam, Medical Director, Dr. Ramachandra, The Special Officer Dr. Prabhudev and others. After the photo session with the graduating students, the chief guest was then taken to the auditorium with band and the fan fare.
Welcoming the august gathering, Medical Director, Dr. Ramachandra, talked about the journey under taken by the RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital. He also spoke about the NAAC “ A “ grade
accreditation and the ISO-9001:2008 certification which the institution got recently. He also gave a brief introduction about the chief guest. Also present on the occasion was Padmasri Prof. R. M. Vasagam, former Vice Chancellor of Anna University, an eminent ISRO scientist himself. Chairman, RajaRajeswari Group Of Institutions, Sri A. C. Shanmugam while giving the presidential address reiterated the Medical College and Hospital’s commitment to serve the poor. Highlighting the specialty and super specialty services being offered by the Hospital, the Chairman also shared his vision for the institution that is to make RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, a one stop health care destination.
Addressing the students, The Chief Guest stated that the University degree is only a stepping stone to achieve more in life. He advised the students not to be money minded s it is well known that money cannot bring happiness. The applauded the services rendered by the hospital to the community and also the accreditations. He urged the students to take up more research work as now more opportunities, funds are available for the benefit of the poor. He said he is sure that RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital will go on to become one of the best learning centres of this country. The chief and then the Chairman distributed the certificates and the gold medals to the students.
