“ RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital has grown by leaps and bounds since last one year and has made tremendous progress“. These were the comments made By Prof. Dr. Francis G. Dunn, President, Royal College of physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow, UK. During his recent visit to Bangalore along with Mr. John Cooper, COO, Royal College of physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow,UK, on 18th February for the inauguration of 7 Modular, Super Specialty Operation Theaters at RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Dunn emphasized the need to have more collaboration between the 2 institutions. After inaugurating the modular operation theaters, he expressed happiness about the facilities, infrastructure provided by the hospital. He, along with Mr. John Cooper also visited the other wings of the hospital. Being a cardiologist, he immensely praised the Cath Lab facilities. The delegation took a tour of the campus and interacted with the students inside a class room. Later on, the team from UK, visited the massive Library in the 4th floor of the college building and also the Central Research Lab in the second floor and were quite happy to know about the projects in the pipeline. Welcoming them, the Medical Director stressed on the need to have more such interactions. After the Central Research Lab, they had an interactive session with the HODs and the Professors and the faculties of the RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital. Answering host of queries regarding faculty exchange and video conferencing facilities, Dr. Dunn said that he was very eager to explore the various avenues and also said that a dialog shall be initiated to search for the same. While proposing Vote of Thanks, Dr. Prabhudev, Special officer urged the delegation from Royal College and Hospital to send their surgeons for their surgical expertise thus enabling our students to get first hand experience.
