RRMCH got first prize in the KOPS award category- Clinical Pharmacology

The ISACON, 62nd national conference of Indian society of Anesthesiologists was held in temple city of south India “Madurai” from 26th to 29th dec’2014.

The theme was “precept to practice”. It narrows the gap between guidelines and practice. The conference focused on educational guidelines, training, practice guidelines and update. Faculty and delegates from all over the country and abroad, attended this conference.

It is a matter of pride for the department of Anesthesia and Raja Rajeswari Medical College that Dr.Madhumala Asst Professor Anesthesia has won the Kop’s Award in Pharmacology in the recently concluded National conference in Anesthesia ISACON 2014 at Madurai.

Dr.Madhumala’s study was conducted in our college in patients undergoing drug induced sleep endoscopy.The study was entitled DRUG INDUCED SLEEP ENDOSCOPY: conventional PROPOFOL or newer DEXMEDETOMIDINE? The study was envisaged and guided by Dr.Rangalakshmi Professor,Anesthesia and Head of Critical Care and Emergency Services.

Dr.Madhumala was again felicitated by Karnataka chapter of Indian Society of Anesthesia by the President Dr.Rangalakshmi, also her guide at a function in NIMHANS convention centre on 18th Jan 2015. She was one among nine award winners (a record for the Karnataka Society of Anesthesia).
