On the occasion of “World Asthma Day” Tuesday 6/05/2014 the following programs have been observed by the Department of Respiratory Medicine,
1. On 06/05/2014 a patient awareness programme was conducted at RRMCH reception counter with demonstration of Audiovisuals on Asthma symptoms, diagnosis and management. Around 40 patients have attended and enquired about the disease and its management, around 20 people were given appointment for Spirometry in the next week
2. On 8/5/2014, Thursday a talk on “Recent advances in the management of Bronchial Asthma” was conducted in the College Auditorium between 2-30-3:30 PM, the speaker being Dr.K.N Mohan Rao Prof and HOD Respiratory Medicine.
The Special Office gave an introduction talk on management of Bronchial Asthma. The talk was attended by Medical Director, Additional Medical Director Prof Superintendent, Dean and senior faculty of RRMCH. Around 70 peoples including P.G’s have attended the talk.
